Professor Claudia Aradau is taking part in the launch workshop of the ERC-funded project DATAUNION, led by Professor Rocco Bellanova at Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium on the 22nd February 2023. The inception workshop will be on 'The Data Integration of Europe: Database interoperability in European police and border cooperation'.
Professor Aradau will present at the 'Data politics, infrastructures and sovereignty' session and discuss the research conducted in SECURITY FLOWS on a transdisciplinary methodology for investigating datafication at EU borders. The presentation is based on the article 'Neither opaque nor transparent: A transdisciplinary methodology to investigate datafication at the EU borders', co-authored with Ana Valdivia, Sarah Perret, & Tobias Blake, published in Big Data & Society, in 2023.
Professor Aradau is also a member of the Advisory Board of DATAUNION.
