Speaker: Sarah Perret - Devices and borders in Europe: (non)knowledge production and security (Video)
In this talk, Sarah Perret interrogated the conditions of the production of knowledge and non-knowledge in EU R&D on Border Security by looking at upstream of the political economy of knowledge. To this end, she analyses the projects on Border Security funded under the FP7 Programme and the involved actors that aim to control licit or illicit humans’ flows, and the recent EU-LISA programmes. She argues that studying R&D programme funded by the EU provides a significant idea of the future production of ignorance into the EU border security governance.
